Mercedes Isabel Salomón Salazar 

Since 2017, Mercedes Isabel Salomón Salazar has been director of the José María Lafragua Historical Library (Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. Puebla, México). In this role, she co-coordinates the digital humanities projects: Primeros Libros de las Américas, the Catálogo Colectivo de Marcas de Fuego and Estampas de la Academia de Bellas Artes de Puebla. She holds undergraduate degree in Humanities and an MS in Information Design from Universidad de las Americas Puebla. Since 2015, she has been a full member of the Documentary Preservation Subcommittee in the Technical Committee for National Documentation Standardization (Cotenndoc). She belongs to the Interdisciplinary Bibliology Seminar (IIB-UNAM). Her research has focused on the first woman printer in Puebla, México, in the seventeenth century, and fire brands for the study of provenances in colonial libraries.
